ADAPTATION MEASURES

Adaptation to climate change is a process enabling societies to adjust in response to changes in their environment, in order to limit the negative impacts of climate change, or even benefit from its positive consequences. Adaptation strategies aim to increase the resilience and reduce the vulnerability of environments, organizations, communities and individuals to the known or anticipated effects of climate change. The implementation of such actions is best combined with measures to combat climate change, aimed in particular at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
