CONFERENCE OF THE PARTIES (COP)

The Conference of the Parties – COP for short – is the decision-making body responsible for overseeing the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Bringing together 197 countries and territories, known as “Parties”, that have signed the Framework Convention, the COP has met annually since 1995.
