Plan Djoliba 2021-2025: BOAD organizes a business breakfast for private operators from Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou, July 6, 2022The West African Development Bank (BOAD) and the Conseil National du Patronat Burkinabè (CNPB) held a business breakfast attended by Mr Hubert MILLOGO, Chairman of the Statutory Committee, representing the President of the CNPB, Mrs Bianca DE OLIVEIRA ADOVELANDE, Head of the BOAD Resident Mission in Burkina Faso, and Messrs Almamy MBENGUE, Director of the Country Development Department and Oumar TEMBELY, Director of the Bank’s Energy and Natural Resources Department. Also present were several members of the CNP and private economic operators active in Burkina Faso.

The meeting, held at the LANCASTER hotel in Ouagadougou, provided an opportunity for BOAD and CNPB members to exchange ideas, and raise awareness of the Bank and its financing mechanisms and offers among private sector players. to facilitate their access to financing solutions identify prospective project owners seeking financing in the five (5) priority sectors of the Djoliba plan, namely These include transport/ICT/digitization infrastructure, energy, agriculture and agri-food, healthcare/education and real estate.

According to the Head of BOAD’s Resident Mission in Burkina Faso, this meeting is fully in line with the implementation of BOAD’s five-year Djoliba Plan, which proposes a set of integrated solutions to address the financing needs of the private sector and contribute to its development. The institution also reaffirms its readiness to step up its action in favor of the economies of the WAEMU zone.
